Pakistan Cricket Team for World Cup 2015:
Pakistan Cricket Team has little chance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Their performances over the past year suggest that. Pakistan has not had the proper preparation, going into the World Cup. But the cricketing history suggests that Pakistan have flair and survival instinct. Whenever they have such situation, they have bounced back.
Group: Pool B.
The bowling unit is the biggest strength of the Pakistan cricket team. The loss of Saeed Ajmal will surely affect their effectiveness. Pakistan’s attack has the potential to do well. Wahab Riaz and Md. Irfan give the team an attacking option of left-arm fast. Yasir Shah has emerged as a wicket-taking option. Shahid Afridi has been exceptional with the ball. Sohail Khan was the highest wicket-taker in the Quaid-e-Azam Gold league.
Haris Sohail’s would be a key factor in the line-up. He showed maturity in his batting skills. He has also have been useful with his bowling. Sohail can reduce the level dependency of the team on Shahid Afridi. Yasir Shah is a conventional spinner. He brings the old school charm to his bowling with his relaxed approach. He is the bowler opposition would have to watch out for.
Fielding and their middle-order batting seem to be the trouble for Pakistan. Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq’s follows the conventional approach. It is not going to allow them to score freely. Fielding will be a serious concern for the team at the World Cup. Larger grounds in Australia can create problems for the team.
